Check out Layla on Issues on the Point with Darren Zaslau as he interviews Melissa Schaeffer and our very own Toni Shelaske from Orphans of the Storm (No Kill Animal Shelter) in Kittanning, Pa., founded in 1969.
They discuss the shelter's various programs and services, including temporary shelter for abused animals, adoption, spaying and neutering, and efforts to educate the public on responsible animal care. Orphans is also embarking on a new building project aimed at enhancing facilities for the animals, such as kennels, lighting, and noise control, through the New Building Fund.
